People always ask me how, or why I decided to call my labyrinth building and facilitating company “Norma Marie Inc.”. Well, I had a very dear friend whose name is Tom Harvey, and he called me Norma Marie for better than 30 years. When I was thinking, way too hard, about what name to call the company, Tom would always say,”call it Norma Marie” !! He very kindly, and lovingly insisted that Norma Marie was the best name for my company. I finally took Tom’s advice and incorporated Norma Marie. Tom was so happy, he was thrilled beyond words. Taking Tom’s advice was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Since Tom was know by his many, many friends for having a very big heart, I knew his encouragement to name my business was out of love, love of a longtime friend who was very sincere and caring. Tom cared very deeply for all of his friends. We just never realized how fortunate we all were that he was our friend. Even though Tom lived a full life with many great acomplishments to list, his greatest acomplishment was in how he showed each and every one of his friends how much he cared for them, and how special each of us was to him. His kindness and love were a beautiful gift to all of his friends, and that is how we will always remember him. Tom passed very suddenly about two years ago.
By having named my company Norma Marie Inc. , I feel that Tom’s love and kindness are still with me. That he would be extremely happy for me, and sometimes I think I can still hear him call me….Norma Marie….
