Hello. Welcome to Norma Marie Inc. I am Norma Housey, Custom Labyrinth Builder, and Veriditas Trained Labyrinth Facilitator. I am also a Certified Green Builder. My love for labyrinths and building them, has taken me to Chartres France. Here I studied the Chartres labyrinth in the Chartres Cathedral , and became a Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator under the study of Dr. Rev. Lauren Artress.
My first encounter with labyrinths was in my doctor’s office. There was a beautiful, cloth labyrinth hanging on the wall, about 20″x 20″ in size. It is called a finger labyrinth because you follow the path with your finger. The design was so interesting that I immediately began to research all media. My main focus has been on building labyrinths ever since.
I have built labyrinths for hospitals made of luminaries. The hospitals used the labyrinth as a venue to pass the torch from ovarian to breast cancer awareness.
I have also built a labyrinth for children in a montessory school. The children brought in non perishable food which was used to create the labyrinth. After walking through the labyrinth and drawing pictures of it, the food was then boxed up and donated.
My experience in building labyrinths includes brick paver patios that are unique to the size and dimension of the available area, or yard. This is a creation of beauty and art that is also a part of your signature input to last and be enjoyed for years. Incorporate a labyrinth into your meditaion or zen garden.
